Sorry for the miscommunication. I didn't actually go home this past week. Our platoon was out guarding a bridge, and we just returned today. I won't be meeting my son until sometime this summer. Take care

Oh damn...I was hoping the "I'll be gone for a week" message was because you were going home for a quick trip to see your little buddy. I was 9 months old before my Dad saw me for the first time, and I was hoping you would get to see your son a lot sooner than that. You may still!
