Hey Mike,

It's the Warrior Princess (formerly hehe). I was wondering what was up, but I figured it was internet pains keeping you from posting if anything.

I'm sorry to hear about SGT Bohling. I'm sorry to hear about anyone of our brothers getting hurt out there. I know the pain, I know the loss. I hope you come home.

I wish I met you. I'm thinking of you and the boys every day. I hope this wasn't all for naught.

Take care,
Sam

I've read about Sgt. Bohling several places on the 'net. I'm so sorry! Will be praying extra hard for y'all and for the Sgt.'s family.

Glad you finally posted. You have a lot of worried mama-types (of which I'm one) in your commenters.

Michael, look up Jarrar Puello. We called him "Harry" because he said none of us could say his name. He was right. He was ours. Tom, OIFVet responded. I can't tell you the rest. I burried him because that's what a Sgt's wife does. I can still see him smiling and holding his baby daughter with his beautiful wife beside him. God how I miss him! He was one of those who looked after mine! I know how you feel right now and I have one thing to say. WRITE! You don't stop living, breathing and experiencing because of what you saw! I do what I do because of Harry. He would want it that way. God bless you, Michael! I love you and know what you feel!!! You have to keep going and YOU have to come home! Don't you give up!!! Good night and Harry, his family, OIFVet and I ALL thank you!!!

Hi Mike,

So happy to hear from you. Life really does suck, and it is OK to close up and wallow in misery, it is actually healthy. But life is for the living, it can be a short or long time.
In reality it goes by fast and is always a short time.
If you knew you were going to die in 2 hours, I know what you would say.
"Don't worry about me" .."I will be OK" and "Make the best of the time you have here" etc...All of this may sound shallow at a time like this, but as a grief counselor I need to remind people that anyone that leaves us has a last wish. The last wish is that the ones they leave behind are "happy" and "OK". And the way to honor them is to carry on, be the best you can be, so they can rest in peace. I hope this does not sound simple and non caring, it is never easy, but I have found that the best way to honor the fallen is to keep on living. That is what they fight for.

I am sorry to hear about Sgt. Bohling's death. I lost a loved one in this war too so I understand "some" of what you must be feeling. I also know that the bond formed by soldiers is stronger at times than family ties.

I Blog and visit the Mil Blogs and other sites to help myself grieve Mike's death and to offer support. Mike believed in this war. In my heart I know this is what he would want me to do.

Don't stop writing Michael. You need it. Don't worry about writing your honest feelings. Most of us have been there. Let us be there for you when you are ready! We all love you. Take care. You are in my prayers as is your family anfd Sgt. Bohling's.

I've checked your blog almost every day since I found it (about a month ago), hoping there will be an update. Does anyone know if he's okay?

If you're at least reading, please know that there are people out here thinking and praying about you.

US Soldier prosecuted by DA for going to Iraq, serving in combat!

Sgt. Jose Estrada, a recently returned (Jan. 2006) Iraq veteran is facing charges that he "wilfully failed to appear" because he went to Iraq to serve in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Estrada was initially charged with domestic violence offenses. The alleged victim in the case came to court and testified three times under oath that the incident did not happen as alleged. There were three witnesses to the crime, two said Estrada did not do it, the third was a six year old girl who would not see where the crime allegedly happened (in the closet of a bedroom). Instead of dismissing the case, the DA persisted.

Sgt. Estrada waited for his day in Court. The DA continued the case on the final date set for trial. Sgt. Estrada was ordered to report to Ft. Lewis Washington for deployment to Iraq. He went and served in Fallujah among other places.

Sgt. Estrada returned and within days contacted the Court and put his case on calender so that he could resolve the matter. The DA was forced to dismiss the domestic violence case because the witnesses left town, but immediately the DA issued charges in a second case for "failing to appear" on the first case.

Sgt. Estrada wants to continue in the military and continue to serve on active duty, but he now has this cloud hanging over his head. Veterans should not be treated like this. If you feel this is wrong, please let you feelings be known. Send an email to Bonnie Dumanis, the district attorney of San Diego:

publicaffairs@sdcda.org

or call her office at:

619-531-4040

Ms. Dumanis is by and large a reasonable prosecutor. Make your voice heard.

Please live and write, Mike.
Get back in one piece!

And please respect this man, by not advertising and discriminating anyone here.
If you think Americans are wrong go say that somewhere else.
If you want to advertise, do it somewhere else.

Right now, this soldier is having a very hard time, and he will not be cheering up when he sees you're doing this to his Blogspot.

Please, have respect for the men that are out there doing the job we can't/won't/aren't willing to do.

Arief, what a coward you are that you make sure no one can go to "your" blog and answer your comments. Why don't you comment somewhere else where you are welcome.

Better yet, join the military and nake some changes! Now why do I know that won't happen? One they probably wouldn't take you. Two, you don't have the famuily jewels!

Hello Michael,

It's been a long time but I check your blog from time to time to see if you have dropped in to tell us what you're up to these days.

It's always a bit worrisome when a favorite Mil blog ends suddenly. With the exception of one or two cretins, your readers worry about you and hope you are doing well.
